Questions?
Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about asphalt sealcoating, repair, and maintenance. Don't see yours? Just give us a call.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Every estimate is free and no-obligation. We come to your property, look at the condition of your asphalt, and give you a clear written quote with honest pricing and no pressure.
How much does sealcoating cost?
It depends on the size and condition of the surface, so there's no flat rate. The best way to get an accurate number is a free on-site estimate, and we'll always give you upfront, honest pricing for sealcoating, crack filling, patching, or striping.
How long before I can drive on fresh sealcoat?
Plan to stay off freshly sealcoated asphalt for about 24 to 48 hours so it can fully cure, longer in cooler or humid weather. We'll let you know exactly when it's ready to use before we leave.
How often should I sealcoat my driveway or lot?
For most driveways and parking lots, every 2 to 3 years. Sealcoating protects asphalt from UV, water, oil, and freeze-thaw damage and keeps that clean black finish. Staying on a regular schedule dramatically extends the life of your pavement.
Can you fix my cracks and potholes?
Yes. Crack filling and patching take care of the majority of asphalt damage and add years to your pavement. We'll take an honest look at it: if maintenance will protect it, we'll handle it, and if it's past the point of repair, we'll tell you that too.
When is the best time of year for sealcoating in Michigan?
Spring through late fall. Sealcoat needs warm, dry weather to cure properly, so we schedule around Michigan's seasons. If you're planning a project, reach out early to get on the schedule.
How long does sealcoating last?
A good sealcoat typically lasts 2 to 3 years before it's time to reapply, depending on traffic and weather. Staying on a regular maintenance schedule keeps your asphalt protected, looking sharp, and saves you from bigger repairs down the road.
Are you licensed and insured, and do you serve my area?
Yes, Elite Asphalt is fully licensed and insured. We handle both residential and commercial asphalt maintenance across Macomb County and Metro Detroit. Not sure if we cover your town? Give us a call and we'll let you know.
